"My Vac Account" News Empty Re: "My Vac Account" News

Post by Rags Sun 17 Apr 2016, 08:35

I tried to log onto and get set up on My VAC no joy doing that. hard to get set up once set up stupid password request with too many variables to remember. That said got loaded up requested some paperwork could not complete did not have me on file.....bozos. Called they sent me shit old way. Got it set it asside it was a claim for loss of eye sight it would be my 5th attempt as I always time out on data Im to send and they close the claim. So set it aside got to it 30 days later needed too much info got tired of it set it down.....picked it up 30 days later. Noticed the 60 day rule for letter to them if im going to take longer then 60 days or they close my file. Sent them a short F off letter guess I will be at this a 6th time in a year or two when I feel like it and dont want to squeeze the life out of a DVA rep. You would love the letter started with "To The VAC Idiot", and I explained how actually they only gave me 43 days to respond not 60 and what I thought of them real nasty. The seriously flawed part of all this is they have my other requests for help on same issue dating back almost 10 years and always timing out. You would think they would just be patient and forget the 60 day time out rule its not like my eye sight is going to come back. Bone heads.

Bigrex , last I heard PIA is not setup with the VAC My Account system. Just pensions , awards , ELB , VIP and perhaps others.

Binrat, there are two different places to look. The one you are referring to is under "track your applications". But if you go to the 'Inbox", there is two buttons near the top, "Secure Messages" and "Letters and Forms from VAC". So I'm guessing the decision letter would be under the second.

I had a re-assessment on my PA pensioned conditions, bac last year, and when I read this thought I'd check, and lo and behold,
stage 4 completed, but there was no approval / denied or no change letter from what I could see there, again I am not sure when
stage 4 was completed, but I'll have to keep an eye out as well, see if an when it makes it there...

I wonder if all approval/denial letters will be posted, or just the disability awards. I'm waiting for a reassessment of my PIA, and it will be a lot easier, and less stressful opening up a website, than driving down to the mailbox every day, looking for a brown envelope.

Pinger, I understand your skepticism, but My VAC account is actually pretty handy. It tells you what benefits you are receiving, and how much. You can also get access to any forms that you may need.

"My Vac Account" News Empty "My Vac Account" News

Post by johnny211 Tue 05 Apr 2016, 20:02

Good Day to all my Vet friends. Today I got this notice on the "My Vac Account", after I asked about a decision letter.
Thought I would pass it on. Not sure if this is old news or not. VVV...

- I also wanted to take the opportunity to tell you about some
changes that were introduced to My VAC Account. Effective April
5, 2016 decision letters for disability claims will be released
to clients via My VAC Account. Offical decision letters will
still be mailed to you for your records.
