We've got vets committing suicide in record numbers, vets getting screwed out of money and the GOC is spending money on Twitter.

Hence forth I will no longer entertain the notion that the Conservative federal government is competent and has our best interests in mind. That field of thought is null and void until the Con(artists)servative government is removed from power. What small shred of the benefit of the doubt I graciously extended to the federal government in recent years has evaporated.

Sometimes there are Veterans who are on the Old Charter like my spouse who have battled with DVA to no avail and receive very little in percentages and have been continually denied benefits without cause and the appeal process has been unsuccessful. There are Vets (spouse) because DVA has denied benefits and therefore don't qualify for ELB and now with Sisip LTD have to appeal and the outcome for success is marginal. So it comes to be that there are injured soldiers who have little to no benefits but who are very ill as is my spouse (Lymphoma). Now I don't say this to have anyone feel sorry for us but only to demonstrate that we have so many different scenario's when it comes to disabled Veterans medically released. It almost creates a breeding ground for dissention amongst different groups of Vets with different groups of benefits when in truth we are all deserving of these benefits and it should be equal for every soldier regardless of any political policy or will.

Bruce, you have every right to be pissed, but you need to direct that anger at the people in Ottawa. Teen merely posted the policies because this is why Ottawa feels that they can get away with not paying, not that he agrees with the policy. Teen, and many others have voiced that they do not agree with their decision, and that it unfairly created 2 classes of ELB recipients, ( pre June 2012 who were clawed back, and post June 2012, who received their full benefit), but we have no power to force Ottawa to do the right thing.
