I can see where confusion happens every time someone talks to VA. Today I received a letter and breakdown of what is owed to me when it came to the clawback which I will receive in about 3 weeks. Contrary to what was mentioned to me that proof is needed that income wasn't earned during this time frame from the person on the phone at VA, this is now not required. I'm guessing there were many different answers that you received from VA regarding this clawback. There must be a lack of communication with the department regarding passing on of vital information. What a gaggle. Good luck everyone you deserve it.

as of 10:00am this morning my bank account had a VAC Payment almost equal to 4 months of ELB clawback......I am not touching this until further info is presented...because what I really want to do is tell VAC/TB/Federal government to take their measly handout and stick it!

where is the other 53 months you owe this vet....they will not get away with this bs.

I don't doubt you you Bruce, but in these days if fiscal restraint, and cutting red tape, it seems like a waste of time and money sending paperwork to a bunch of individuals who were getting these very benefits due to the fact that they were incapable of working. Also, did we not have to complete similar paperwork before the clawback was ceased in the first place, to avoid overpayment?

You'll all get the appropriate paperwork. Fill it out, send it in.

Bruce, if you don't mind me asking, but were you deemed TPI at the time, or were you on short term ELB?

I already received the paperwork asking about possible earnings. I sent it in last week of August. It gives a list of possible sources of income and if you received any of it you report it. They told me it was to avoid overpayments. I told them they should know what I'm up too. I played the game and sent it in.

I'm wondering if this paperwork is really being sent to everyone, or if it is just for those who were not TPI'd, and capable of working? I was TPI'd, approved for PIA and supp, and ELB, all within days or weeks of the announcement, So I'm pretty sure VAC knows that I wasn't working at the time. But if they need a paper trail, then so be it.

Talked to Veteran's Affairs to get more information. Last week paperwork was being sent out to all ELB recipients regarding earnings during that time frame. It is to ensure that clients that were clawed back weren't receiving wages from working as well. You should be receiving the paperwork this week. The sooner its completed and sent in then you will see the retro. This is part of the process which I completely understand.

Well bigrex, I'm very sceptic as you are regarding two of the answers as they are completely different. One's saying a couple of weeks and the other a few months. I'm a watcher of question period daily and nothing has been brought up on why the delay in the retro that was promised. Why are there such delays with this with the technology we have today. Our names are in the system. Phone calls are not required. I'm ready to go out again on the line when the word is given.
