Re: Looking for PTSD Support Forums
Thanks Johnny. Meditation seems to help "slow down the hamster", at least for me. As for the rest, I am still suffering from a lot of guilt, about a lot of things, but I am trying to work through it. Thanks for the support.

Re: Looking for PTSD Support Forums
Dameon - never feel guilty about taking gov money, for injuries we have over our career. I too suffer from ptsd, and all that goes with this head spacing. We the very few in this country where willing to die for it. We have seen stuff most Cdns never see. Be it one or several trauma incidents it grows. I find my local OSSIS gp has really helped. Not sure if you have one there. Also started the green stuff in the form of oil. It slows the hamster, and knocks me out at night. Feel free to PM me anytime Dameon.

You Should also take a look at https://www.mycombatptsd.com/
There are members going back to vietnam, all the way to current.
Mostly American, but there are quite a few Canadian, as well as Aussies, Brits, etc
Lots of really good info.

Looking for PTSD Support Forums
Not to knock the forum here folks, because I am learning a lot, but I have been suffering from PTSD for several years, and just made the call to VAC seven months ago. I am not yet stable enough to be pointing fingers at anyone, I am just looking for people with a shared experience to chat with. I have a hard enough time even accepting help, but I am afraid that if VAC took away my therapist, I would not make it a week. And I still feel guilty for taking money from them. Its one of my many weak points. Anyway, if anyone knows of some Canadian Vet PTSD support forums, I would love the links. Thanks.
