You still need a receipt from the uber driver to submit, not a claim, an actual receipt.

Another option is to call the Veterans Ombudsman's office and submit a complaint. VAC is not the fastest when it comes to using new technology. So your complaint to the Ombudsman might make VAC adopt a policy to accept uber claims.

Just wondering Donnie did you submit a receipt from the taxi company?

I ask because I know if you don't have a parking receipt then VAC only reimburses $6.

Uber and health travel claims?

Post by DonnieD on Mon 16 Apr 2018, 17:19

Haven't submitted my travel claims this year and planned on doing them all today but noticed that vac deducts $5 per trip if you submit taxi claims which is BS first of all. Secondly Uber only charges a $2.75 surcharge per ride. How do I submit all my uber claims, I have about 10 I have to do and deducting $10 by VAC is quite unfair in the first place but especially if I submit these uber claims.
Thanks in advance.
