Re: Current DA Wait Times
Nemo,
16 weeks total for reassessment, or 16 weeks from when it went to step 3?
Gunner
16 weeks after reaching step 3. Whether that goal is met will soon be seen.

Copper, 19 weeks total for a reassessment? Seems like a good time frame, considering how slow they’ve been.

Re: Current DA Wait Times
I just had a consequential DA claim approved that went to Step 3 in Aug of 2017. It sat at step 3 for 46 weeks. Good news is that it was a favourable decision with an acceptable percentage awarded that I am happy with

Re: Current DA Wait Times
That sucks... From my calculations you likely won't hear until end of the year. I heard they are about a year behind! My reassessment was close to 19 weeks. Red flag can be done for unmet health needs or MAJOR financial issues as far as I know. I hope you get an answer soon!

One option is to call VAC and ask them to red-flag your application. If you have a case manager he or she can possibly help you with your request.

Re: Current DA Wait Times
I sent a simple question to them through MyVac portal and ... 10 days later .... still waiting even for the acknowledgement of the fact that they got it and forwarded it to the right person.
I guess, VAC will need more $$ in their budget to hire more VAC hacks.
Meanwhile, 'stake holders' are "listening'. When is their next 'listening' session with stakes?
(do not need answer to that one).

Did you get your decision yet coppers2002
coppers2002 wrote:Nemo I just heard that my reassessment is being actively worked on by someone and a decision will be within 1-2 weeks.
So it has been in Step 3 since Feb 14th, and it will be almost 18 weeks completed for decision from service standard date.
Just FYI for your timelines.
Just wondering if they came thru for ya yet,.... or if still waiting...

Re: Current DA Wait Times
So just got of f phone with VAC and when I told her My claim is sitting at week 42 the response was and I quote that’s all, Don’t expect your claim to be done anytime soon. When I asked about the 35-38 week period response was that’s what they tell you. I asked if it is only complex cases sitting at Feb 2017 and response was I can only tell you what we are being told. I kinda feel sorry for who answers VAC calls. Time to get a new Case Manager that will return my calls/emails. Outrageous

Nemo, how long have you been waiting? When did you apply.
I got all the paperwork to them mid Apr 2018. Got the standard reply of 16 weeks.
