For those that don't want look through the attachment, or unable to open it, here is the relevant paragraph.

"If a Veteran is assessed as being Grade 1, their benefit amount will be $1,500 per month. If Grade 2, their benefit will be $1,000 per month. If Grade 3 their benefit will be $500 per month. These levels of payment are
determined by the extent of the Veteran’s impairmentand barriers to re-establishment.

The amounts will be indexed annually in accordance with the Consumer Price Index"

Not sure how to do an attachment - but the APSC is indexed as with all the benefits in the PFL Scheme.

CIA changes April 1st Empty CIA changes April 1st

received a call today from VAC, they were letting me know that the former CIA would be changing in title and from taxable to nontaxable, that has followed posts on here

they went on to explain that the Supplement and top up from ELB would continue and be indexed onwards,

that led to my question as it wasnt stated in their prior explanation, ' will the Additional Pain and Suffering amount (CIA) not be indexed after it changes in name and tax status April 1st', the client representative said affirmative.

also i would be receiving between now and then a letter stating the title and taxable status changes.

has anyone come across any reference to the non-indexing of the CIA come April 1st?

if it is not indexed, the amount received going forward continues to depreciate over the lifetime of the Veteran, maybe they didnt know and just went with the least answer rather than be misquoted.
