l just read that Pain and Suffering can be taken as a Lump Sum, this is not APSC.?, I.e. someone who was on CIA before the April 1 changes, cannot ask for that monthly payment in a lump sum, can they .?

maybe I’m confusing this, but I thought the only way VAC will recognize a veteran as being APSC level 2 , is if they are DEC

Unkown soldier. Under which legislation are you enquiring?

Just got an email saying my status has changed again.
Looked in MyVac and it is marked as complete.

took a peek at my current benefits and payment history, and it looks like i was awarded APSC 3, getting 509.50 / month
long wait from april last year, but really glad after this long it was not denied

I inquired last week. Application date was 25 Feb 19. Same answer. Working on February. For the last 6 months. Everyone is suffering because of the Pension for Life. All it did was increase the already unacceptable wait times.

so... i sent another inquiry yesterday, and got told the same information. they are still working on february
at this rate, i expect march to be completed in 8-9 more months from now, and then they should be starting on april applications july or august of next year

It makes no real no difference, because even those people who had CIA approved before April, had it converted to the APSC amounts. So regardless of what they use as the application date, if approved, the payments will be the same.

would this mean they would apply CIA criteria or APSC criteria?

any ideas why it would have been changed, and what the impact would be (negative or positive)
the actual submitted form shows a date of april 2

Not sure...When did you apply..Did you apply for CIAS before Apr 1...Is time in service the difference before and after Apr 1

this was an APSC application (CIA), as there is no more CIAS. first application. as i said, it was actually submitted april 2
as for time in service, that is no longer a consideration for APSC
