Fist i would like to respond to Steelgunner its heightened awarness, it dulls after awhile, situational awarness never does.

Yeah after a 12 month deployment cut short by two months with a helicopter ride to Bagram Airfield then off to Germany you could say there’s a lot things that makes one jump.  For me it was a time delay after about  8 months I started noticing things, the first thing noticed is when my daughter would come home late and put the key in the door. Man, in a dead sleep I would snap to attention with that key jiggle in the lock. Phones do the same, I turn my phone  sound off mostly and just check it now and then to avoid being startled.

The biggest thing i learnt is to try not to get upset about things and especially little things. I no my triggers, don’t watch glorified war movies, I watch stupid little comedies, attention span is bad. In some ways regret joining the military, sometimes I am okay with it.  

CSAT has changed since 2012, didn’t agree with everything Vets said but didn’t have to attack Vets personally.  Had a few dust ups with Trooper but we worked it out and I even apologized to him about a post in a private email about an older Vet where the post was just taken out of context.

The Vets that have been around awhile understand Wild and how he’s passionate and direct.  He comes and goes like the seasons of the years. But you no what we don’t see all the old Vets around much anymore, the site is kind of dead here.  It’s a great site to understand what VAC has to offer and what VAC’s short comings are.

Childish replies with name calling and you just want to get your jollies attacking Wild because you no he will reply to you.  Myself I like to defend anyone when I see an  injustice in my opinion.  You sir better hope you never run into me. Explain ptsd, explain trauma, explain what you have seen felt or been through? it's easy for us who sufferer from it, hell my grand daughter jumps when a phone rings were you beat over the head by a ringing phone or did you work in a call center?
