PMED there were no insults intended. Instead I saw a very logical answer by Triton to your statement. An answer I know to be true.

Sometimes a whisper of gossip is accepted over a person's knowledge of the truth.

There are some very highly educated, knowledgeable people on this forum and when they make a point of truth it is quickly rejected. I speak from experience. I have been asked questions so I call the proper department get the answer, post the answer then get accused of not knowing what I'm talking about.

You are right PMED and should not be arrogant. I did not mean to be insulting and I will only state again that GOC cannot make sisip jump if it is not in the policy, and the policy cannot be changed without going through a heavy bureaucratic process. thanks for all your comments.

I agree, knowledge is power, and it is clear that although u think you have it, you don't.. Sorry for being blunt and sometimes it pays to step back and smell the coffee.

Well it sounds like Triton has a lot of knowledge about SISIP PMED because just about everything he has said I have learned from reading and talking to VAC, DND department heads about SISIP over the years of my advocating.

Although you could argue that GOC is the policy holder, the reality is different.
Every time that a change is required, there would be a very heavy bureaucratic process to follow which adds months in any process. You may wish to call sisip to find out about the process. I like your spin, if it was the case, everything would be much simpler.

Unless I am completely in left field, Government cannot tell sisip whatever... like jump and implement. There are policies in place and unless Gvt is prepared to change them now by an ACT of parliament, sisip will act based existing policy. I don't believe that sisip is a tool to generate money, Government has this mandate and are good at squeezing funding. Examples of that, Strategic Reviews and Deficit Reduction Action Plan.

The military used to set the standard for society to follow to the benifit of society, if this is an industry standard, limiting CoL adjustments to 2% per year, e.g. CFSA, SISIP etc, saves $$$ yes, but puts vets into poverty over their life time.

Triton is right. I was only released in 2006 and the 75% mark that was calculated by VAC is $260 dollars less than the 75% of this years pay rates. I can't even imagine the difference over 20 or 30 years.
