Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
Good question, why have a review when the facts speak for themselves, I will email this question also to the MP

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
VVi has already participated in one of the teleconferences. I already gave him my "question"...
Is the Minister going to have VAC do an actuarial like the OVO did? If not then review's are no longer needed. The OVO's actuarial is all the proof needed as numbers and facts do not lie. VAC now has the blue print and it is time to fix the NVC not review the NVC...again!
So if everyone was to copy and paste the same question to Jim then maybe he will ask a "direct" question instead of an "indirect" question.

Apostle Navster, that would be a divine idea. Hope you do and others as well. It isn't often an MP is willing to take our concerns and ideas to the powers that be.

Send him your thoughts Nav - he has advised previously he will remove personal info so there is no fear of voicing our opinions.

Hey , I believe this guy is legit, one very important change I would like to see is the ltd , EELB be merged into one and extended past age 65. None of this 70 percent of all income past age 65 like the ombudsman said, plain and simple if your on it , you get it until you drop dead!

Opportunity To Have A Voice
Attached is an email I received from Hon. Jim Karygiannis P.C., M.P. ~ an opportunity to have your voice heard.
Dear Friend,
I was appointed at the Liberal Critic for Veteran Affairs at the end of the August. It has been a steep learning curve.
The Veteran Affairs file has been very active in the last few weeks. The Minister has been forced to admit that the NVC has to be revamped.
I have spoken too many of you personally and our weekly telephone conference. I have taken on a few of your files and, together, we are battling the Department and VRAB.
This week Members of Parliament will be returning to the House of Commons and I hope, with your help, to keep the Minister accountable and his feet to the fire.
I will have the opportunity to pose questions to the Minister during Question Period as well as participate in the Committee which will be reviewing the NVC.
I have a few ideas as to what questions to ask of the Minister. However, I would like to have your input. If you were asking the question and had 30 seconds, what question would you pose to the Minister?
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. We still have room for people to participate in this week's telephone conference 12:30 pm (ETD) this Tuesday Toronto time. Please let us know send me an email jim@karygiannismp.com.
Cheers,
Hon. Jim Karygiannis P.C., M.P.

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
" We incorporated over 160 recommendations that were determined after wide consultation. In particular, we implemented enhancements to the New Veterans Charter that make it easier to qualify for the Permanent Impairment Allowance (PIA) and the Exceptional Incapacity Allowance, along with a series of other changes that boost the transition of a veteran to civilian life.
Really how?
