Has anyone ever tried to submit MM receipts (along with a prescription) to PSHCP for reimbursement?

I too have noticed some rejections for MM on my BlueCross account. I have also seen those rejected claims get approved after the LP provided more info. They are pretty anal when it comes to claims. I've had pysch claims denied and then approved with more info as well.
Aphria....
I had a Doctors appt this morning to have part of my prescription moved from Aphria to MedReleaf. MFT set up the appt and is handling the paperwork.
As for pre-coverage....
MedReleaf told me that they would pre-cover my prescription since I was already approved my dosage from VAC and just changing LPs.
Also, I mentioned in another thread, MFT is able to help set up specialist appointments for anyone effected by the 3gram/day cap coming into force this May.

I called MFT today, asking them about it, as to how far I'm in the process and about changing from Aphria..

And Apparently she said they've known this since like Last Oct. November time period that All Licensed Producers

Are going that way, That None of them are going to Provide you with a Early Coverage, or per-approval from them

IE they won't fill your prescription Until they get the confirmation letter from BlueCross, Due to BlueCross Being late

On those payments, And rejection of claims.

So as Someone new to the program, Seems I will have to pay out of pocket Once the prescription goes thru and get

it back from BlueCross myself, And or wait that 30-60 days, though I heard could be as long as 75 Days, because of

a backlog in BlueCross...

I have issues with them (MedavieBlueC) re: chiropractor coverage. Not happy with their service.
CM useless as well. She says that she is not the one approving it and could not get a simple answer from medavie.
Go figure

This what I received from Aphria

Re: Aphria - Early Coverage Discounted
Dear Valued Patient,

Regrettably, effective January 26, 2016, Aphria will be discontinuing its Early Coverage Program for all patients applying for coverage under Veteran Affairs Canada.

What is the Early Coverage Program?

Aphria’s Early Coverage Program allowed patients to place orders for medicinal cannabis without requiring the patient to provide payment, while Aphria worked directly with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) to verify coverage. Upon receiving confirmation of coverage from VAC, Aphria billed Blue Cross directly for approved patients.

Why is the program being discontinued?

Aphria has recently experienced extended approval periods from Veteran Affairs Canada, as well as an increased number of unexplained denials for coverage from Veterans Affairs Canada. Unfortunately, for these reasons, Aphria can no longer assume the risks associated with the program.

What does this mean for me as a patient?

Aphria will no longer bill Blue Cross directly for orders until we have received confirmation of coverage approval from VAC. Meaning, until Aphria has coverage approval confirmation, patients may choose to pay for their medical cannabis out-of-pocket and submit their receipts to Blue Cross for reimbursement.

I have received approval confirmation for my past prescription. What happens when I renew my prescription?

Each new prescription received requires individual approval from Veterans Affairs Canada, therefore the discontinuation of the Early Coverage program will affect bothnew patients and renewing patients with Aphria. Upon the registration of your renewal, Aphria must submit the prescription to Veterans Affairs Canada and wait for an approval of the new prescription.

How long will it take to receive confirmation of coverage approval for a new prescription/renewal prescription?

Historically, expected turnaround time for receipt of approval has been 30-60 days. However, timing can differ from patient-to-patient, depending on the unique situation and can extend outside of this range.

Can I receive reimbursement for product paid for out-of-pocket?

Patients approved for coverage by Veterans Affairs Canada can submit receipts directly to Blue Cross to any orders paid for out-of-pocket.

Will Aphria continue to directly bill Blue Cross for orders once confirmation of approval for coverage is received?

Yes, patients whose prescriptions are approved by Veterans Affairs Canada will be eligible to place orders for cannabis without providing credit card payment. Aphria will continue to bill Blue Cross directly.

For additional information, please reference Veterans Affairs Canada's guide on the new reimbursement policy:

http://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/help/faq/cannabis-medical-purposes#a01

If you have any further questions, please respond to this email or feel free to call our Patient Care Team at 1-844-427-4742.

Thank you.

A person I know was cutoff veterans payment through blue cross. Aphria advised the person that she will have to pay upfront going forward because Blue Cross aren't paying either fast enough or at all. Myself I was on bluecross website and notice a claim was submitted and rejected for payment. I also read where a vet was denied massage payment to therapist when he submitted the claim to bluecross. Check your accounts people....shits starting and I imagine there vac and goc behind all of this. When is enough enough?
