I believe in order to be a b client, in additional to being in an SDA, you also need to be getting VIP services.
SDA alone does not qualify.

I searched my vac inbox. Here’s a copy of what I got from a reply a while back when I inquired.

The following Veterans only can benefit from “B” line coverage
:

Veterans of the 2nd World War or of the Korean War, in receipt
of the War Veterans Allowance (WVA) or who are income-qualified
;

Veterans of the 2nd World War or of the Korean War, in receipt
of a disability pension and who qualify for services under the
VIP ;

Veterans who receive a disability pension or award for a condition
that is attributable to service in a Special Duty Area and for
which services under the VIP have been approved ;

Veterans in receipt of a disability pension assessed at 48% or
more, of which at least 1% is for a condition incurred during
the 2nd World War or the Korean War ;

Veterans in receipt of a disability pension or who have overseas
service and who reside in a long-term care facility ;

Canadian service Veterans in receipt of VIP services or who reside
in a long-term care facility ;

Allied Veterans of the 2nd Word War residing in a long-term care
facility ;

Veterans who were prisoners of war during the 2nd World War or
the Korean War and who receive services under the VIP.

[quote="45jim"]How did you get dental under VAC? I pay for PSHCP but of course it has no dental coverage. Is this a result of a claim? If so, that's excellent news as trying to find a "dental only" plan in Ontario has been a challenge for me. Any advice on that front?[/quote

I lucked out I guess. Originally as an A client I did not get VAC dental as my pensioned condition did not result in dental provlems. Then one day they made me an A and a B client and then I got VAC dental. Dont really know why they switched me but I am not complaining 😁

Yes, you can use multiple plans to ensure you pay zero, with some procedures one plan alone may not cover 100%.
