Re: Canada Disability
Interesting!! This is the first I have heard of anything. Sooo I took a look and quickly found the following (dated 23 Sep 2020):
A new benefit for Canadians with disabilities called the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB). There is a minister responsible for this. I believe her title/name is; Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion Carla Qualtrough.
In a nod to longstanding criticism of Canada’s support system for Canadians with disabilities, the throne speech describes plans to rejig key federal disability policies. The government promises a new federal disability benefit modeled after the GIS, which supplements the income of financially vulnerable seniors. Ottawa also pledges changes to the way it assesses eligibility for other government disability programs and benefits. I have provided a few links.....nothing concrete, as this benefit is still in the early stages of implementation, but good to read/know to become informed.

Canada Disability
Anybody else curious what will happen from the Liberals with the new budget coming soon. All this talk of a new Canada Disability benefit. The possibility of merging VAC, CPPD, Disability Tax Credit etc.. all as one. No more multiple applications to be declared disabled by multiple federal govt departments. Anyone else hear anything on this?
