2020 income taxes

Re: 2020 income taxes
So the IRB gross monthly x12 was my income. The SRB payout increased my income last year and the taxation from CIA/S explains the 2018 income being higher.
Thanks everyone!

Re: 2020 income taxes
If you remember that the APCS was taxable which was the big Argument where people were saying Oh no now I am getting less...
though if you took the taxable amount IE 1500 - 23% -1155 which I think is the new NON-Taxable amount is.
But from this
"The Pain and Suffering Compensation is available to CAF members and Veterans who have a disability caused by a service-related illness and/or injury. The actual amount of the PSC will be determined by a member or Veteran’s Disability Assessment. It’s important to remember that these monthly payments are based on the member or Veteran’s extent of disability, and that not all members or Veterans who receive the PSC will receive the maximum of $1,150 per month"
so ya $1150 is the non taxable amount so your total taxable income in this case will be $1150 x 12 = 13800 less taxable.. so per say you had $75000 a year before the change to non taxable now you'll be at $62K now and since you now lower taxable
your paid taxes will or are now in a lower tax bracket, and of course you pay less in taxes.
if you have a MyVac account you can if ya want go in and look at your payment history, and do our calculations though, just watch.. I did that and went Hmm payment history $4389 something a month not exact so I counted them and went okay 11 so I used calculator and went 11x4389 and added the 1st one which is lower rate Jan's payment, and it's like, okay thats off by 10K on my t4a..
Scratched my head a bit, then I added the tax amount, and got the higher amount, wrote it down, then on 1st page it says amount $5340 and held 1200 and net or payment was 4389 so then I went Oooohhh took the 5340 x 13 added last one and my totals added up, but this is the long way to explain it.
But I can't remember the date they changed the PCS from a taxable to the non-taxable payment, okay I lied, well I went to my vac account..
On 28 March 2019 non-taxable amount for me was $714 then 29 April 2019 it went up to 1838.40
so somewhere around there is when it changed taxable to non-taxable
And that meant the Jan/Feb 2019 payments of it were added to taxable income then removed for last 10 months on my income statement, hope this makes some sort of sense

Re: 2020 income taxes
Can’t remember, was that the year before they moved to non-taxable Additional Pain and Suffering payments?

The srb may explain it. My 2018 was the same though... did we receive something in 2018?

Re: 2020 income taxes
My last year was higher also because of the payout of the old NVC retirement allowance after they implemented the Pension for Life and ended the benefit.

Re: 2020 income taxes
Then why do I make the same each month but my "income" was 10k more in 2018 and 2019?
I also paid 5k in tax more each year it says

2020 income taxes
I just received my t4 and it shows me earning 11000 less this year than last. I also paid 5000 less in taxes.
It seems like they didn't include APSC of just over 1000$ a month.
Is APSC taxable?
I can't explain making 10k less on my t4.
Thoughts?
