Re: Pension Splitting Question
nemo- I believe you stole the word right out of my key-board. That's the way I have been doing it with my wife. She gets half of my pension but not my pay cheque from my work!
Therefore it should work the same in a manner of speaking.
Now watch the GOC try to close that loop-hole!

Re: Pension Splitting Question
Splitting the pension is for taxation purposes only. The amount of your own pension(s) will be considered income as far as SISIP is concerned but the split amount is for taxation purposes only. It won't be calculated by SISIP against you.

Pension Splitting Question
I am still waiting for my letter from sisip to declare me TPI. The only taxable income I have is my CPP D since my med release. I was beginning to get paranoid about why I haven't received this letter from sisip ltd which affects my retro and going forward payments. My spouse is also retired military and on our income tax H&R Block splits my spouse pension to offset his taxes. Is this why I haven't heard from sisip and they think I made income?
