Re: HST
Maybe Peter could call the premier of PEI and ask if they could implement it earlier , or take a vote, how many people live in PEI? I thought just VAC employees, lol

Re: HST
PEI does not have HST until 1 April 2013. What would happen in my scenario if the pay out happens prior to this date? Currently we have a provincial tax of 10% and a GST of 5%. Any thoughts???
Thanks Sue

Re: HST
DCHD, my son is having the same problem you had getting his status. His grandmother will not claim status for some reason and therefore he cannot get it also. I contacted the band but they said they could do nothing about this. Anyway this is off topic.

Re: HST
LOL
This is the second class action i been involved with the other was not receiving my Native Status.
Because the GOC thought that it was OK to discriminate that because my Grandmother was female it was OK that their Grandchildren would not get status. But if my Grandmother was my male it would be ok. Any i got my Status after years of fighting. I would have like it when i was born because 8% on 46 years of purchasing items and services adds up to a small fortune.
Just think of the last 30 years how much money would you have if you didn't pay 8%HST

Re: HST
AND THAT IS WHAT THE LAWFIRM IS WORKING ON! Come on Nav I posted the response from Ward Branch....
I was speaking with Dan Wallace and yes, HST will be applied to our legal fees. We are currently working with CRA to ensure that the correct rates are applied.

HST
So any one answer me this, if we have to pay HST, is it the rate in which you are a resident because with different rates across the country this is totally unfair, One Rate , One Standard
