Nav, like you have said, Peter is a lawyer and a good one. So he is able to say things that are not exactly true and still be within the law. Half truths are not lies, but they are not exactly honest either. Honesty and lawyers are not exactly best known for being synonymous either. Also, Peters treatment of the class doesn't get recorded in the law records, only the fact that he represent the class and won, so the next group seeking class certification isn't going to see his record with the class, only his results. So he cannot harm his professional reputation, only we can do that by letting others know how we feel about our interaction with him.

Well, in my eyes, the lawyers did not tell the full truth. In the Statement of Claim, Peter, who wrote it, specifically stated that Dennis and the Class were seeking special, punitive and exemplary damages. He also asked for costs. If he never had the power to ask for these things and would likely never get them, then why lead us to believe they could?
