Re: HOW DOES THIS ALL ADD UP
That is 75 percent if no vac pension because hockey injuries in the cf are vac pensionable if the hockey is on military time.

Re: HOW DOES THIS ALL ADD UP
I hope you get it, another thing my wife just mentioned to me, when an ltd policy expires due to insufficient paper work or no contact , a registered letter must be sent to the ltd claimant informing them of their date of termination. No registered letter, not legal !

Re: HOW DOES THIS ALL ADD UP
Yes it all helps but in the end we are getting 60 percent of what we should get. If I had been released with a hockey injuries from the cf and say could never work again. I would have gotten full 75 percent from sisip ltd, no deductions for legal fees! So if you look at it we are getting less than what we would have gotten, not fair but it's over for me, nothing really nobody can do. Remember when we were told we would see 100 percent of our offset back?

I did not send in paperwork because my vac is higher than my sisip , zero sum. But now I am appealing for tpi.

It all helps no matter how much we all get.

Re: HOW DOES THIS ALL ADD UP
Yes that's true but sometimes the truth and fair policy is also important. I hate when I read about all the guys who should be tpi but are not just because they forgot to send in a paper to sisip or something else that in our situation was stupid. I sent in my paperwork all those years because I had a wife who worked in the industry who always made sure we did, she even knew how insurance companies can be bastards!

Actually it also depends on how close you are to 65 right now because if you are close then you are also being wronged by paying 8 perfect from your retro because your going forward payments will be for a short period of time so I understand your concern on legal fees.

Re: HOW DOES THIS ALL ADD UP
I am tpi but I am paying 8 percent on my retro and nothing going ahead because I thought the judge would not let MC do that. Who really knows how much in the future someone will get?

Re: HOW DOES THIS ALL ADD UP
Navrat , you must be tpi and if you are then you are paying 4 percent on retro and 4 percent on future , total 8 percent now taken from retro which is how it should be. But I am not tpi , paying 4 percent on retro and 4 percent future , total 8 percent taken from retro and not getting future payments which is the difference.

Re: HOW DOES THIS ALL ADD UP
The legal fees are 4 percent from 1976 to some year that would amount to $888 million but since the clawback stopped in 2012 the amount to that year is $424 million so for MC to get there legal fees on payments past 2012 until $888 is reached they have to take another 4 percent now from everyones retro to make up for the difference but for those who are only getting two years retro are having an extra 4 percent taken out and are not getting going forward payments.

Do I like it, nope, Can anything change, nope. The gag order killed any debate early on, they knew what they wanted, got it, we never really had a chance!
