Contact Marijuana for Trauma. They will assist you every step of the way. They took care of all the details for me, all I had to do was follow their direction. It's funny how things change... less than 10 years ago, I had to discipline and send one of my guys home a few weeks after starting a tour in Afghanistan bc he failed the piss test he took before deploying.

What amount do people usually start with?

I've tried dozens of medicines for insomnia, hypervigilance, anxiety and nothing seems to help. I've been doped up daily on prescribed meds for the last 6 years. How would I go about getting approval and a prescription? Nothing else seems to work, might as well give it a shot.

I am prescribed 5 grams per day for a total of 150 grams per month.  Each supplier has different prices. My supplier is Aphria out of Leamington,  Ontario.
Total cost per month including HST is $2118.00 per month.

I believe 10 grams per day is max.  I know another veteran who is prescribed 7 grams per day.

Does anyone know of the dosages/ amounts and how much VAC will pay?

Ok, Thank you. I was wondering if this had arisen because of the Liberals "internal review" of the program, to cut costs.

Bigrex, at about month five you will have another appointment with the doctor who originally prescribed you medical cannabis.  The doctors office will forward all necessary documentation for you to VAC.  Marijuana for Trauma, if you have sought their help will be aware of when your script is going to expire and they too will contact your doctor and you to remind you both.  I originally had a 6 month script and the next appointment with the doctor he wrote one for a year. VAC makes the process sound more complicated than it is.

I have a question for others that have been using medical cannabis. I just received the approval letter from VAC, but only for 6 months. After the 6 months I have to submit a "medical document" (their quotation marks) from my Dr, stating the condition being treated, and at what dose. Is this a normal practice? Because I've never had to submit any special "medical document" to get any of the narcotics that I've been on over the last decade.
