The government has approved a tax exemption for retired CF personnel who are paying for Dental and Medical services. To claim this refund on your taxes, here is what you have to do.
Call both the PSHCP dental and medical offices. Make sure you have your cards ready as they need the numbers. Tell them you are calling about the tax credit for PSHCP,
The new regulations allows you to receive a T4 slip which can be used for taxes, This refund is backdated to 2006. A nice deduction on your taxes.
The money on the T4 slip is the contributions you have made to PSHCP.
If you have not filed a claim to date, the return is back dated to 2006. A nice benefit For your assistance, here are the phone numbers to call.
