Re: Disability Tax Credit
Hi XMedic,
Yes, I was approved for DTC based on my PTSD diagnosis.
I have no problems answering any of your questions. I am an open book.

Re: Disability Tax Credit
XMedic, you might want to send By the Bay a note as I believe that she has passed on advice on her experience with the DTC.

Re: Disability Tax Credit
I'm just shy of 65 so I wasn't interested in CPPD, but the disability tax credit would be great.

Re: Disability Tax Credit
like everything else surrounding boards, and appeals and VAC and medical professionals, the worst they can say is no. I’ve known people with MS and Cancer who have been denied, but others with mental issues who have been approved. It all comes down to the included documents, and luck of the draw in an adjudicator, I’d say. Just go over the forms with a fine tooth comb, don’t miss anything, it will only delay it, l think the average wait time for an answer is 4 months, and l think you can also appeal a negative response.XMedic wrote:I have a disability rating of 94% for PTSD and was wondering if anyone has any experience qualifying for the Disability Tax Credit with this diagnosis. I looked over the application and it appears to be geared to those with physical disabilities. I appreciate any advice. Xmedic
