Re: If If IF .....Hang in there Brothers and Sisters
it is not a matter of reading but actually living within the lines that make the poem real, RK was an awesome writer.

Everyone needs to read this...as tony the tiger says its great!
This was posted long ago by another. The message is full of wisdom. If all veterans that commented here read this first, I am sure it would ease the pain of the demands of being a human on this planet!

Wisdom and words, the two greatest tools of mankind. This is the first time I have ever read this poem yet it feels like it has been told to me since time before birth. Thank you "guest" , I needed to hear it again.

Re: If If IF .....Hang in there Brothers and Sisters
Thanks guest for those words of encouragement. I am a patient man and am used to waiting for most everything from medical surgeries to Vac forms etc. I just see that finish line that was non existent for so long and yearn for all things Sisip to come to pass. I am grateful for the toils of mere men, Dennis and our law firm, for without, there would be nothing. I am thankful for my fellow Vets on this site for their help and support through this journey also. My life was a tumult at times, but this settlement may cause a calming of the waters. I am thankful for my family, for their support and belief that I am good and worthy and have lived my life as good as any man could with my disabilities. The sun came up. My feet are on the ground. All is good. Holdfast...out.

If If IF .....Hang in there Brothers and Sisters
Zapper & Friends:
If the government would have appealed,
If the Supreme Court didn't overrule the federal court of appeals,
If the fed court hadn't ruled in our favor,
If McInnes Cooper refused this case,
If Dennis hadn't of lend his name/mind to this cause,
If there was no ill veterans,
You would have waited even longer to receive likely NOTHING.
Many have waited and are dead,
Some vets have waited since 1976.
Give it a few weeks and force yourself to be thankful I have!
Be thankful your on the first list only 893 are!
The other 6607 veterans are not!
Focus on the fact that, going forward this case will look after so many Veterans, that otherwise wouldn't have suffered like we have.
Hang in there Zapper, I have a good feeling you will have your cheque really soon!
Study this poem and once you really understand the message everyone of us will have our cheques
If
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream---and not make dreams your master;
If you can think---and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings---nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And---which is more---you'll be a Man, my son!
