MC WHAT is happen with legal fees for Status Natives????????? We dont pay 8% of the HST for serves

10-04 K9 two weeks ago the truck compagiie that produces fire trucks had to deliver it to the reserve so the consol would not have to pay taxes. If they toke delivery at the truck compagnie like I did for the fire brigade they would have had to pay taxes!!!! Not sure of all the inner works but if delivered on the res no taxes.

"GST/HST/PST are charged based on where the product is delivered/shipped to, not where it was sold to, regardless of where the buyer is. Somoeone can live in Australia and order something from a Canadian company, but if it's delivered within Canada taxes must be remitted. If the product(s) are being shipped/delivered outside Canada, no tax is remitted on the sale(s).

Bottom line.. As long as the product(s) are shipped/delivered to somwhere in Canada, taxes must be remitted regardless of where the buyer is. The same goes the other way, if a Canadian orders something, but has it shipped somewhere outside of Canada no tax is remitted.

Whether or not you have to remit taxes on a sale of taxable goods/services is based upon the place of delivery, not where it was billed to."

Hi George as of July 2010 it don't matter if you are on the Res or off the Res. Also George if you has Status when purchasing a new Vehicle you don't have to have it sent to the Res for pictures and you don't pay any taxes . I just found that out last week.

Any a Rep at MC send they would be letting Me and others know, how it was going to work with people with status for legal fees.

But as per usual they most likely dropped that ball on that one

If I am correct, we all pay taxes for goods we buy off the reserve, in this case you will have to clam it back.

MC I have emailed and called on behalf of us with Native status who don't Pay 8% of the HST. Who will this reflect out legal fees and when are they going to let us know what their intention are on this mater
