Re: MC's "Zero Sum Member" Classification and Clarification With Reference To Sisip LTD Benefits ~ Could Be Good News For LTD Claimants Who Are Appealing For LTD Benefits Jan 2014
No offense taken RR ~ the Jan doc above I interpret as MC asserting through the courts that the distinction of being totally disabled in respect to being in receipt of those specific benefits is being raised through the legal channels in order to assist the appeals process. Everyone needs a good rant once in a while.

no offence Carver seriously your researching keeping us informed and I like that so this comment is a general scope, having said that, it means nothing to the majority of us due to the yearly routine of filling out SISIP LTD Benefit paperwork stating your in fact disabled, the fact that you must has a 98% or better (worse actually) pension in order to qualify for EIA which is ironically a tax-free entitlement, why would SISIP need to know this information is beyond me as you the recipient need not declare it. SISIP requires nothing from us and since your put on LTD then by the terms of your LTD policy you must constantly fall under these ever tightening guidelines. Having or being in receipt of the label LTD through SISIP does not mean that you will be granted CPPD or DTC which is a crock because if you are disabled under SISIP LTD collect a EIA, TPI , PIA under the VC new or old then why in the hell do we struggle to get CPPD or DTC. Sorry Carver have not ranted in awhile lol

The way I read it peeps is that MC is doing justice for those who are appealing through the adjudication process for LTD benefits despite being disabled and zero summed after 24 months. Further explained by the fact that if a veteran is receiving CPP D and/or Exceptional Incapacity Allowance through DVA, that said person clearly is totally disabled by definition of qualifying for said benefits.
