RCNRetired,

I don't know your experience with the OVO. I have very little. But besides Guy Parent, that Office (albeit created by Harper) does do something for the veteran.
Alongside with all the other veteran advocates under the sun, it adds momentum and highlights
our issues to the forefront. I think the last months worth of announcements reflect that. But of course, the proof is in the pudding isn't it?. Any possibilities might to be continued in this or the next episode (session) of parliment. Who knows, but time always tells.

The OVO in my experience can do nothing for the veteran, they look into the issue and when they call back new is not great and ends with an apology and stating their hands are tied. So if gov want to do something good, untie the hands of the Veterans Ombudsmen.

Actually the weather is warm and they are expecting rain. So if your down east get the boat ready.

The Maritimes is just being hammered senseless my Mother Nature this winter.

OK I thought they were in Ottawa. I'm on the left coast where weather has not been an issue.

OK prawnstar the weather down east has been nothing but snow! Do you expect them to be the only department/store/government office to be at work?

Come on guys it's a weird year for weather give them some time.....

Has anyone had trouble contacting the OVO. I have been trying since last Friday and keep getting "due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable to take your call". I left a msg but no reply.
