Panzer, you sound like you are in bit of a grey area. not purely physical like a bad back, but not completely psychological either. So I guess it would depend if it was more the physiological conditions, or the psychiatric conditions, that are creating the greatest hurdle to your employment. You may need to have assessments by multiple medical specialists, to demonstrate the overall impairment. Your CM will be told which reports that they need to make the determination.

I don't know if my injuries would be considered physical in nature or not. I have CRPS and Fibromyalgia throughout my whole body, a maladaptive nervous system, post traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, dysthymic disorder, and a chronic ankle injury I am currently awaiting surgery for. Obviously the disorders are mental in nature but I don't know about chronic pain and fibromyalgia. I am capped out at 100%.

You must apply right away when you are granted SISIP LTD , it is policy.

If your disabilities are physical in nature, they will send you for a functionality test with an OT. They will determine how many hours you're able to work, and in what field, if at all. You need to get that determination before they will approve you for EELB, or the PIAS, as both are dependent on your inability to be employed.

Thank you for the responses. I will talk to my new case manager and see what can be arranged. Currently a four hour difference, I live in Oromocto NB, and moving to Surrey BC in a week.

A question about the CPPD, is there a point to apply while on SISIP LTD? I do have a five month old but wouldn't SISIP just adjust their payments so I would be making the same either way?

Panserbjørn - Hi, I,m sure everyones story on here about the long rd to TPI is different , but mine went something like this. Due to my disabilities, I was having a hard time at my retail job, I got a case mgr, who suggested I go on the Voc Rehab, doing both psyc appts, and retraining. Then CanVet got involved and I was assessed to see what I would be interested to take. I then started ELB, and did a 9mth trades crse. It was a tough go, but I finishes it, and got a job. I lasted 4 mths on the job, and just could not do it anymore do to my ptsd issues. Then CM became involved again, more assessments, and still on ELB, 9mths later I got TPI from my CM. Mostly due to me applying for CPPD, and cm told me that TPI would be mostly approved if I got approved for CPPD. I was then give EELB, and TPI. Ya it was alot of hoops to go tru, and my process took about 2 yrs. I hope this helps, any more pm me. VVV...

ya buds not sure what your old case manager was talking about but I did my TPI at the same time I was applying for the rehab program . yes I was accepted for everything . buds I would ask again defiantly .

I was wondering. If anyone knew how to get the designation of TPI. I tried talking to my case manager and he said it was something that happens after you complete the rehab program through VAC. A nurse came into our home and recommended the FCRB.

I just got approved for PIA Grade 2 but denied for PIAS.

I just recently transferred to a new case manager, should I ask again?
