Re: Free oil change for vets
I got my oil changed today at Mr. Lube (had to done anyways) in St. John's, Newfoundland and they never heard of any Veterans discounts or free oil changes on this day. It sucks cause it would of been nice to get a free oil change instead of paying $106......even a discount would of been nice. And yes my vehicle has a Veteran plate. The link below shows what locations are doing this promotion.

Veterans across Canada are being offered free oil changes Thursday as a thank you for their service.
The program was started in 2014 by Darren Pierce, who owns the Mr. Lube in Kelowna. It has now spread to 100 of the franchises locations across Canada.
“The women and men who choose to serve Canada deserve our respect. They have earned it through years of service to the ideals and values that make up Canadian society,” said David Ticknor, a franchise owner in Vancouver.
“It's the least we can do to show our appreciation and thank some of the most honourable and deserving individuals in the province."
Archie Steacy, president of the B.C. Veterans Commemorative Association, said there are over 700,000 Canadian veterans, most of whom are under the age of 70.
He said the association is thankful for the gesture.
To receive a free warranty-approved oil change at Mr. Lube on Nov. 10, veterans or current military individuals must provide Canadian Service ID or have a Canadian veteran licence plate.
