Re: Changing Local Providers
I am just starting paper work; Thanks for suggesting /recommending MedReleaf.
Another one looking good (on their web) is CANNIMED. Is anyone dealing with them?
Cheers and Thanks

Re: Changing Local Providers
I just put oil under my tongue. I am extremely sensitive to medications, mm included, and oil works just as fast as vaping does. I get 8 hours of sleep from oil vs 4 from vaping. No nightmares and no hangover like symptoms from sleeping pills

Re: Changing Local Providers
Well ya Myself I just got approved and been searching the same what is what out there...
Here's one thing, if you smoke / vape the dried cannibis you get the Effect almost right away..
If you use the Oil Extract, for under the tongue, and or Cooking, whichever way you want to
Use the Oil, you won't feel the effect of kicking in until an Hour and half, possibly 2 hours from
the time you take / eat it.
Smoking/vape effect last like 3 hour's ish, Oil take the time to get effect, but can last 6-8 hours
Just you have to wait the 2 hours or so before it kicks in.
Usage wise, the Oil comes in a 50/60 Mil bottle with like a eye dropper, so you suck up the amount
you are taking, being .5 mil, to 1 mil, open wide, raise da tongue, and squeeze the rubber bulb make
droplet go under tongue.
Cooking wise, you can use the extract and combine it with a fatty Substance, IE Butter, Coconut Butter
I say fatty/oil based because it won't separate when combined into a oil based product.
then when it say on fudge brownie recipe 1 table spoon of butter, you grab your magic butter with the
extract in it, and away ya go, munchies for life.
You can also use that special Butter to butter your toast with, and or however or whatever requires so butter
to be added, but there is a Post of different ways to use it, I'll have to re-find it in the Forums Pile

My doctor suggested I try oil for my symptoms. I haven't decided whether to take it or not. I think because I am nervous and the stigma. How do you find the oil works for you and has it helped significantly? How do you use the oil? Thanks.

I'd go MedReleaf. They are an awesome LP. Super high quality with consistent supply and good customer service/ fast shipping.

Re: Changing Local Providers
Hi
Stay away from CannTrust. I switch to them from Organigram due to lack of product.
It has been a nightmare at canntrust;
- 30-45 min wait on the phone to talk to anyone
- they don't know the new vac regs around cannabis
- would only supply 3g/day, even though i am prescribed 5g/day
- switch early dec and did not rx order until 9 jan
- lost close to a month had to go local, no refund from dva.....
Will be switching to medreleaf or maricann.....

Re: Changing Local Providers
I read in some older posts that VAC apporves only dried form of it. Still not approving oil?
Could dried form be made into oil?
Cheers

Re: Changing Local Providers
So I have a Doctors appointment on Friday to get a new script, as I am changing LPs.
MFT set up my appointment and I had a chat with them about the new 3g/ day policy.
They informed me that they had specialists and put my name on a list to have an appointment who could help with the paperwork to have my full prescription covered.

Re: Changing Local Providers
Thanks!
I just filled out the paperwork to switch. MFT is setting up a new DOC appointment for me as well. MedReleaf has amazing strains. I'm disappointed with Aphria. I currently have my script split with both.

Changing Local Providers
Someone asked the other day if anyone has any experience with Switching providers.
I'm with Aphria and I am switching to MedReleaf.
Basically the process is the same as a prescription renewal, but also with a call to Blue Cross to give them the heads up. Unfortunately, clients must complete the paperwork again etc.
However, if you are so inclined to switch LP's this is the protocol.
Everyone I spoke to regarding this issue today was pleasant and helpful.
