Even if you submit a separate claim, it would likely be bracketed with, or considered included the DDD claim. I have DDD, and spinal stenosis, but they are both covered by the one claim/ So it would likely be easier and faster, to simply request a reassessment, including the new symptoms.

sacroiliac joint Empty sacroiliac joint

Post by daverobitaille@rogers.com Wed 19 Sep 2018, 18:29

Hi,

I already received a disability award for lumbar disc disease at 16%. My problem is causing sciatica pain. Now my CM sent me to chronic pain clinic for this condition but the DR there found out that I also have sacroiliac joint issues. That explains why I always have low back pain issues since my service.
I guess my question here is do I bring this new evidence to my CM to have my case reassessed or would it be a different claim. The Dr agrees it is related to my service since the pain started at that time. The award I received is under " Lumbar disc disease" and the sacroiliac joint is under Muscular and skeleton in the VAC website.
Anyone has sacroiliac joint issues here?

Thanks!
