yup closer to election time if it looks like it will be a close election and all signs point that way right now . the promises from all sides will come . the NDP I believe will probably not do that well but I do see the vote total for 3rd parties growing . seeing what I see right now I cant see my vote going to the libs or cons but there is a long time to go yet .

It’s the same old song and dance, the Liberals will come out and say “ Oh, vets are not happy with our new PFL policies?, sorry, okay then, re elect us and this time we promise to reinstate the PA”. So they get back in for another term, and then turn around and say “ F that, were not returning to the PA, you’re asking for more than we are willing to give.”

Oh, I don't expect to hear anything until right before the election, and nothing would actually be implemented until well after the election.

The government will likely only mention funding for the cost of living screw up. Twenty four hours from now I hope I am wrong.

Actually, i think that there will be promises made, even by the Liberals. Nothing huge, but I bet they will promise to sweeten the PFL, by either increasing the PFL pension amounts (bringing it closer to the PA levels), adding additional amounts for spouses and dependants, or reestablishing the supplement, and make it tax free, as well.
After all, there had to be some sort of political calculations made, when they low balled us with the initial PFL. They could have limited it to the $1150, which they knew that Veterans would not be happy with, because they knew that they were going to provide a significant increase, to get re-elected.

Re: Your thoughts on Budget Day, and us Vets
I think there will nothing more for Veterans. This will be the final adjustment to the NVC/PFL until the Liberal get voted out. The Conservatives will not mess much with it. The community of veterans will have settled down and accepted the unchangeable conclusions. The NDP doesn't matter.
The next correction will be after the next major international conflict. If that doesn't take place soon, I believe our world will have bigger issues and Veterans will suck the hind T@T and take another hit. Save your money, grow a garden and hang on the next 25 years will be a real struggle!

Your thoughts on Budget Day, and us Vets
I suppose there are a couple of thoughts on Tuesday’s 2019 budget and us Vets.
One is, as we have PFL the gov may say that’s it, or
Being an election Yr, maybe a new carrot or two will be tossed out, for votes.
Your thoughts brothers and sisters..VVV...
