the election promises are a liberal joke.. there are a lot of higher veteran priority issues than these 2
homelessness would not be as much of an issue if they brought back the pension
reducing interim care costs would not be as much of an issue if they processed faster..

let's add 185M over 5 years, or 37M / year to assist veterans.

however, let's also spend 1B on helping big business develop clean energy technologies,
another 5B to help companies reduce emissions,
another 5B to fund conservation and green infrastructure

Aid large-scale clean energy technology projects with $1 billion over five years.
Invest $5 billion over seven years in the Net Zero Accelerator to help companies reduce emissions
Issue federal green bonds, with a target of $5 billion, to fund projects such as conservation and green infrastructure

you know where veterans sit in comparison to the liberal "green" initiatives
if just those 3 items were budgeted at 90% of their budget, they could add 900M to veteran well being

- Provide $45 million over two years for a pilot program aimed at reducing veteran homelessness through rent subsidies and social services. (source)

- Finance a program to cover mental health care costs of veterans with PTSD and other mental issues while their benefit applications are processed, with $140 million over five years. (source)
