MORNING THERAPY FOR VETERANS - Page 11 Empty Re: MORNING THERAPY FOR VETERANS

Very humbled that a fellow warrior would ask me to vet his poem, means a ton of respect and for that I am honoured. Rucksack031 your a gem and a true friend, over but never out.

Yet yesterday seems to stay
Why so many have passed away

Can’t look ahead, to see the present
My mind in constant reverse

All I see is the past
Wondering how long this act will last

My friends have gone way too fast,
I prayed to god to give them back

Like many soldiers I wished it had been me
So these brave men may see their families

Every day and night is a constant battle I fight
So selfish seems my plight

For there faces I always see so clear
I yell at night, brother I’m over here

Hands grasped, I try to hold on tight
My wife wakes me, it will be alright

I had them, why did they let go
She tells me God said so

Back to sleep I want to go
Where they are only he will know

I need to find them again and again
Like a recording over and over again

Are they ok is all I ask
Remembering them that’s your only task.

Rucksack 031   over but never out Keith Stewart

Wild thing I understand your feelings very well, it took me 8 years for my human side to come back from over seas. Yup sisip and vac were a large part of the problem. Going from hero to zero is hell for any body, what ever the trade or position. I do not want to protect Rags because he can do it for himself, but if you do not know how he is trust me he was and a far as I am conserned is still a great soldier. He went far above the call of duty and was part of saving many lives. As far as being an ass hole, wellcome to the club, only one thing if you know it then you can work on it, it's very difficult and I am still working on it. good luck.

wild thing you sound like a good man . we all do things we regret and sometimes are just a bit to stubborn to apologise for them. you did and that is something people don't often regret.

one thing I get out of this is you are not just words on a screen but in fact human.

I owe every body on this forum an apology especially RAGS.... I respect your service and sacrifice the anxiety of leaving your loved ones heading to a country and a war not knowing what to expect or if you would return. some payed the ultimate price but all paid a price. And for that special duty compensation over and above va should be given to each and everyone who participated. My last memories of service was pain, suffering, and failure,I went though years of depression and anger not knowing why i was feeling or acting this way. sisip and va only compounded the problem. I became that person again last week and wanted to torture rags just because he was an arty officer the way i was tortured my final years of service and for that i am DEEPLY SORRY RAGS... I guess after all these years i might finally be starting to heal a year ago i would never have apologized for being such an ASS HOLE!!!!
