We also have to remember that CSAT is an open forum which means it's not just veterans that read our opinions. Political staffers, media, academia and Canadians read CSAT.

So like I said opinions are fine and as we all follow the CSAT rules having a frank discussion not only is healthy for vets it also shows everyone else that reads we are civil when discussing topics.

Just read a newspapers comment section on a story/op-ed jeez now there's some knuckle dragging, foul mouthed, outright bulldozing comments you wish you never read.

The staff at VVi created this space for not just a place to help vets it is also meant to educate vets and everyone that reads the forum.

I agree bigrex, but some time I feel like we are at war here. If it is controversial, good, let's talk about it. I always like to all sides of a medal but I do not appreciate seing some one being bulldozed for having a opinion. The only thing I really know is that I am sure of nothing. The more opinions we have the more we know. That way, I do not need to agree, just knowing other people see things differently is great, that even if it seems rong to me.

Georges, I understand what you are saying, and it is true that this is a safe place for opinions. But that being said, if someone has an opinion that they know may be controversial, but feel that they need to voice that opinion, they should also be mature enough to deal with the repercussions of that decision.

Scribblings retrieved from my trashcan . . .

Was trying to come home.
To come home to myself.
But no ones left...
Yet I survive to this day.

georges, the short answer to your question is yes. Giving ones opinion on this site is safe.
The therapy corner is where one could rant and rave, speak ones mind, be politically incorrect and it's all good. Just don't offend another member. You could pm them, but teentitan is the all seeing swami forummaster and he does pretty damn good.

HEY!!! this is supposed to be the poetry thread! pinger.

A little morning thought here, is giving out ones opinion safe out here. On another thread and plenty of other times people give out opinions and they get a shit load of (attack) I think we, and that includes ME should think a few minutes before going waako on this site. Maybe we all could smooth out the words and TRY to be more politiclly correct, and share what and wy we are not all the same!!!! I do not think that we are all the same....................

Thank you Robbie and Rucksack for such a beautiful piece.
May those who have gone before us, many far too young, all rest in peace.
And may their families know that even though we are not actively serving, we still stand as proud as ever, ready to serve and assist in any way we can.
