Navrat, the government has to cut somewhere, to find money to feed the 100 million dollar a year cost of running the SENATE. OMG what will do without the SENATE. The SENATE a make work project, that provides individuals with a $138000 a year salary, plus living expenses of up to $22000 a year regardless if your primary residents is in your home province or not, according to MIKE DUFFY. Plus travel expenses for anywhere you want to travel to. I wonder if they accept applications from ex military 3b release.

Good points. I just never had the opportunity to deal with CM face to face.
There are always good people working among NOGS (those who are in Need Of Grace). I could very easly post the names of those whose signatures are on my 'denied' papers. Has anyone started a post like that?
There could emerge an interesting pattern. I guess they are the nurses and VAC doctors who disregard opinions of other doctors and specialists.
Just my rant for today.

Czerv, for those in Ontario, it may not be a big deal, because there is still another one an hour away in the next community, but the one in Sydney is major. If any of those Veterans need to speak with someone in person, it's a four hour drive to Halifax, which for many aging Vets, might as well be the moon. Also with no local office, they lose all their local connections. When I moved, I called my CM. She came to the new house and we talked about some new requirements because of the move. She made some calls right then and there, and within the week I had an Occupational Therapist knocking on my door. the therapist did not work for VAC, but because of connections she has made with the local CM's, she gets a lot of referrals from them. And because of her experience working with VAC, she knows how to request items so that they get approved easier. This is the type of service that would be lost if the CM's were 4 hours away and the client is nothing but a number and the voice on the other end of a phone conversation, if the veteran is lucky.

If they want to shut down an office, shut down headquarters, since they are the clowns denying benefits and treating Veterans like they are welfare scammers.

What is the big deal? These are the people who reject our applications and humiliate us everytime one has to "prove" the illness and injury!
Let them find other jobs where they will be treated in similar way. Very Happy
