Based on what The Honourable Mr. Justice Zinn stated in his Order dated August 27, 2008 that the matters at issue in Buote "are substantially similar to those in Dennis Manuge v. Her Majesty the Queen..." I would summize our RCMP brothers and sisters will be in good standing come decision time.

Nav, according to the statement of claim the Boute file has to do with a monthly long-term disability benefit reduction payable under Great West Life Assurance Co. for members of the RCMP.

Further to the post in the Sisip thread regarding A . Gerard Boute vs Her Majesty The Queen Court File T-889-08 and Dennis Manuge vs Her Majesty The Queen Court File T-463-07
The statement of claim the Boute file has to do with a monthly long-term disability benefit reduction payable under Great West Life Assurance Co. for members of the RCMP. It is also a class action; the class members are represented by Peter Driscoll/Daniel Wallace of McInnes Cooper and Her Majesty the Queen is represented by Lori Rasmussen/James Gundvaldsen-Klaassen/Paul Vickery - same counsel as in the Manuge file. The Honourable Mr. Justice Zinn also stated in his Order dated August 27, 2008 that the matters at issue in Buote "are substantially similar to those in Dennis Manuge v. Her Majesty the Queen..."
