Good for you Robbie, the final chapter has arrived for you, Happy for you Robbie.
Gunner, this is not something I want to deal with ever again, all of my return was sent in order, and my 1198 was not calculated.
One good thing about this ordeal is that we now know what to look for, and thanks to our fellow CSAT members who have received their 1198 calculations, and shared there info to us, we also know what to expect.
So good luck to you, and I do hope that your calculations turn out in your favor.

Re: Stay on top of the CRA !!!
Like you, trooper, I am waiting on a re-assessment......
Talked to a competent CRA agent today that helped me resend all tax documents including T1198 and RC 4228 that were NOT used in the original tax assessment.
We got to talking and I am dumbfounded that when you call a CRA front-line agent and they bring up your computer file that agent has limited info in your file. So without additional info that agent has no answers and you have to access other departments to gather info. SOUND FAMILIAR
Wow, CRA, wouldn't it be better for all parties(depts.) to be on the same page? You know like make Tax info centralized...just saying!!!
Well time for another letter to my MP!!!

Re: Stay on top of the CRA !!!
Hi Navrat, yes buddy I am still hanging in there, reassessment has not yet been done , showing reassessment in progress, 20 years of calculations for me, I will be looking for interest on money they may owe me, I will also check for any notional interest, if any, they charge for doing my calculations.
It is in my view that if any members gets charged notional interest from the CRA for doing the calculations, this I would think would be and easy redress, to charge some, and not charge others, would be the key in any such redress, along with other info you wish, and or choose to provide to add strength to your case.
For now I will just have to wait it out, and see how things unfold for me.

Re: Stay on top of the CRA !!!
I am glad to hear this bbrrr ~ it gives East Coast people some hope for their taxes as well as an idea of interest charges. I hope you are going to apply for Tax Payer Relief ~ if approved, that will help you even further. I know one person on csat has been approved to date.

Re: Stay on top of the CRA !!!
Hey guys, I was going to have to pay $20,000 and the T1198 dropped it to $7000. I can handle that.... 😐. Mine was finally done yesterday... Oh and the interest was only $37.41 !!! (Since I waited to pay)
