Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
That's what amazed us last night. Even in the path of trees ripped up there is the odd one still standing and not even a broken branch! Some trees that didn't get smashed the bark was gone.
We only drove by the houses and saw what we could from the 5th line. Another amazing sight to look at.
At least the Premier (Wynne) is allowing the Electrical Safety to be on site instead of setting up appointments for inspections to get houses back on the grid faster. That's about all she was worth during her visit on Friday!
A better site on Friday was the Mormon Relief Service. They jumped in and started the clean up so the construction workers can get to work asap instead of cleaning. I wish at times like this the military could be used to help. CFB Borden is right there with lot's of labour in PAT platoon. IMO there can never be enough machinery, labour and skill on site from what I have seen. It is a state of emergency afterall.
Fingers crossed that the house can be repaired.

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
Thanks for searching. Yes, it is a disaster.
Not sure if their house can be repaired. The whole upstairs wall is missing. There were people looking at the damage. Hopefully it doesn't have to be demolished. With the house opened up, their is a lot of water damage. They had a trampoline in the backyard. Gone !!
Now that they are all together, they can face anything.
Oh, and supper is still OK on the table. A glass of wine too. LOL

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
Went to a movie last night and on the way home we took the back roads to get home. The amount of trees, houses in Utopia, lawn furniture, BBQ's we saw was unreal. And all the damage was in a straight line towards Barrie and it missed the cement factory by half a klick!
The whole time we were driving we kept an eye out for Fonzie but great to hear he was found near Barrie. He probably followed the path of trees that were gone.

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
Yeah !!!! Just found a few minutes ago.
Found on a road heading toward Barrie. He's in the backseat drinking water and eating shaved beef.
Our son came up from Trenton after work on Friday and they were both out scouring morning to night. They are so excited.
Now that the family is back together, they can finally get past Tuesday and start healing.
Thank you so much for your care and your prayers. The first thing We did was thank The Lord for hearing our prayers.
Thanks again for walking this path with us.

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
No he has not been found.
There are lots of people out there searching. More people today because it's Sat. We are getting distraught.
Please if anyone can think of anyway to get the word out, it would be appreciated greatly. His picture is on Barrie, ON, Kijiji - Pets - Lost and Found.
THANK YOU !!!

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
How deceitful can a person be to knowingly make public this exaggerated false statement about military benefits with the intention of misleading the average uninformed non military person in Canada. With enemies like this who needs to go to war outside Canada.
