SISIP COLA RETRO (Assorted Topics)

Thanks Cola4me...I remember many of us had a decrease/ increase prior to christmas. It was assumed it was a one off thing, and retro actively I may come out ahead. I have been on sisip since september 07/1989...so I thought I may get something from this cola action. I am still waiting...for an absolution that may never come, it seems.

Letter received today-dated March 04/2015
...apparently my file has been adjusted with the "corrected historical COLA's", as per the cola class action...this has, unfortunately, resulted in a decrease of the gross monthly LTD benefit, and as such has created an "overpayment" of said LTD benefits...which we will deduct in full from your next months LTD benefit. First...I had an adjustment, down, prior to christmas.(many did)
Second...the lawfirm said if monies were owed retroactively, no action or collection would take place by sisip.
