Actually PteAdams the Ombudsman is presenting to the Standing Committee on Veterans Issues not the House of Commons.

This is a time limited presentation and this committee's focus is on the NVC. I'm not saying he won't say anything about the ELB retro, he probably will to make his point more clear about his actuarial and report he submitted in summer about the NVC.

What everyone needs to do is call their MP, email the VAC Minister, and the PM about the ELB retro.

From what I've read on the OVO site the Minister will address the House on the 28th. This would be his opportunity to resolve this issue. Take care and thanks for the updates.

Thats hopefully nice to hear. The clawback started in 2007 for me. They also clawedback my increase in disability. Thank you for the updated news.

i WILL BE BRIEF...i have had many conversations with the ombudsmans staff over time and this guy fellow seems to be solid in my books..his staff is closely monitoring my proposal to the VA for further education and they have provided me with an arsenal of facts and theories..they are good in my books for what its worth!sounds like good news for us ladies and gents! hang in there !!!!

Teen, I to believe the current ombudsman is stepping back and observing what is wrong with the NVC as well as the ELB clawback. I know a lot of flack has been going his way without facts. I believe he is actually doing good for the Veterans and I also believe when everything is said and done and the many accomplishments he will improve he will get a pat on the back.

I actually believe you elb guys should start a lawsuit, with the election coming up, they might pony up, simply to avoid another negative situation, why wait

Yes Teen I agree also I believe the whole cost and future cost of the sisip ltd settlement has scared this GOC and the only thing they want is a balanced budget to have extra money to reward their members with a tax cut

I appreciate the thank-you's but I'm trying to show all the vets on ELB that CSAT/VVi/OVO/Legion etc, etc, etc have not forgotten you. We are constantly asking. But for some unknown reason it's foot shuffling, humming and hawing by all VAC staff and Minister Fantino himself.

It's ridiculous and disrespectful that the Government of Canada who in the bat of an eye can pass the ELB retro is saying "We value our soldiers and veterans" at photo op's but they are doing nothing but foot-dragging on this issue.

I'm embarassed at the way Harper is stabbing veterans in the back again, and again, and again.
