OLD ELB POLICY / CHANGE TO IMPUTED INCOME - INJURY/EVENT SPECIFIC FOR CLASS A AND B RESERVISTS
Hi, does anyone have a copy of the ELB Policy prior to April 1, 2019. In the new IRB Policy for Class A and B Reservists, IRB is based on the salary of date of your injury or assualt (indexed) - not on 90% of pre-release salary indexed to current date. See Section 62. This makes an interesting read.
Looks like they are trying to limit payout to Class A and B Reservists where injury may have been years ago. Not sure how this impacts people. I am asking for this for a friend who is caught up in this scenario The claimant's injury was years ago (Class B Service), but release date was 2018. Pay in 1982 when injury occurred was $32 per day ... they based ELB on this amount as that is when the initial injury occurred. Veteran made application for ELB in November 2018 - was approved in June 2019 - but backdated, so they applied old rules until March 31, 2019 - then applied new rules commencing April 1, 2019. Any thoughts to this - in terms of providing some support to her.
