Re: Disability percentage
You would think that they would state the disability % and the WOL rating on the SOA

Re: Disability percentage
Here is a link to the table of disabilities
https://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/health-support/physical-health-and-wellness/compensation-illness-injury/disability-benefits/benefits-determined/table-of-disabilities
Chapter 2 describes the QOL rating
The percentage depends on the severity of the QOL and the awarded percentage for that particular award

Re: Disability percentage
there used to be charts on line for everything but I haven’t looked in years, the % per severity of the body part disability and then there was a second chart that say if you were 55% disabled, you could apply it to a QOL chart ( l think it went 1-100) and say 55% disabled adds another 3% for QOL, your real disability rating would be 58% etcGunner8 wrote:Question. How does VAC determine the percentage. For example is someone is 39 % disability award at 5/5, how is the QOL determined? I assume that the percentage is probably lower than 39, but it adds up to 39 once the QOL is added in? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Re: Disability percentage
It's one of the greatest mysteries of life Gunner and if we knew how Adjudicators at VAC 'calculate' percentage of disability then would we have a backlog of 50,000 applications?
