Re: 2015 Campaign Promises made to Vets
That is like someone I know. He had a claim denied in 1992, when he released. that was until someone at VAC, who was looking at his file, for a different claim, said that he had been screwed, because there was over 20 entries in his med docs about this condition, and submitted a new claim on his behalf. Over a year later, VAC tried saying that they couldn't render a decision, because it had been previously denied. They were told that they had to make a decision, based on the medical evidence, and NOT on a previous denial. A week later, he was approved for a 15% pension, backdated three years. That was just in August. He lost out on 20 years worth of pensions

Re: 2015 Campaign Promises made to Vets
Actually took me from 1993 till then to get my claim done,
2 years on original app denied then a crap load of writing cause they put my knee down as chromdramalia rather then BPFS.
Then my claim went 1st appeal since it got pulled 3 other times, but yeah providing BPFS actually has part of it chrondomalia anyhow, got only that time back, but still lost 11 years of pension they wouldn't go back to, so ya a lot of fighting for that one..

Re: 2015 Campaign Promises made to Vets
If JT thinks $300,000,000 will fix things...."right away" I cannot see the numbers and how they're going to do this.

Anyone:
Does anyone know the number of Veterans that won disability awards under the NVC? How many vets had claims approved. I need the numbers

Well, now we will see if he will stick to his word about Veterans benefits. There are no hurdles that a minority government has to deal with. Now all he has to do is hope that the Torie run Senate, don't play partisan games with everything he sends to them.
