Perhaps 'families will be happy' means that estates are confirmed as being included?

I still believe we will clear 60 percent in our pockets at the end of the day and if this was untrue why wouldn't Peter come on here and shoot that figure down

If that should happen a lot of pissed of veterans would be out there!!! Not to mention the media hay day. Hell I would go off the deep end, all this anguish, stress, anxiety to hand over almost 60% of what is mine. Lord forbid if that should ever happen.

Re: When is the next Sit Rep from Lawyers?
The legal fees being tax deductable means we only save about 1/3rd of what we spent on lawyers. It is not much. Neither is interest which will probably be taxed anyway, and what would be the max interest anyway? 2% a year maybe?
I think all this great and hopefull about lawyers fees and taxes will not equate all that much in the end. But yet it is something and better than a size ten in the rear.
So for example if I ended up paying $10 000 dollars in legal fees I would get a tax break of about $3000 dollars back to me. 2% in interest would be about $1300 buck minus taxes based on 3 years of retro. So all in all I could look at about +$4300 extra in my pocket if the legal agreement goes well.
But to get that $4300 dollars I have to put out $10 000 dollars. Therefor I actually loose $5700 dollars in back pay. I am still out money at the end of the day. So is this that really, really, good deal everyone is hoping for? Or am I just out to lunch?

The government has had their memo to cabinet drafted for a while now. They just need to ink in that one spot with a $$sign after the judge rules and request the funds from treasury board.. Speak up now or forever hold your peace.
