Johndaily,Good Morning.
35% tax rate is what i used in my calculations . I was trying to be consertiave.
Between now and tax time i will try and squeeze a little more back from the tax man.
At this point in time I’m not sure who will be doing the squeezing, me or the tax man. LOL
Cheers

Re: 52% From my calculation, is what I keep.
51.3 % is what i keep if the tax rate is 35% ..based on bigrex interest calculation approach -lump sum ...
So you will see 50% claw back plus interest
So you will see 50% claw back plus interest

Supremedebater, Hows it going,? it's been a long day and it isn't even over yet.
I spoke with Peter today to confirm my understanding of the whole % calculation, and i'm very sure of my math.
I'm sure I can reduce my tax payout a little but that will have to wait until I see the total payout from the settlement.
If I come up with any Tax savings tips I will pass them along.
Cheers
