Re: HERE IS ANOTHER REAL EXAMPLE
Based on my best guestimations...I'll pay about $235000 in taxes and over $112000 in legal. So having said this, I can only pay this if I am getting money back. The amount of what is really owed me before interest or anything, is the amount less legal fees. So about 40% of settlement amount in pocket.

It's called the circle of life and all you guys are in my circle, sit back, relax ,and wait for this sweet deal, oh and everyone seems to forget, it's over, it's over, all those sleepless nights siting on a stool at the Hamilton Legion, downing draft until the sun comes up, everywhere you look you see fuzzy images of SISIP, after awhile every word that anyone speaks to you starts with an S, You run home and dive for your IPad to connect to CSAT ,Internet fails and your running house to house begging for a connection, it's over boys

I will be staying on the site just not posting anymore bad or negative comments. You win some you lose some all depends on the your situation.
Some of us will pay some legal fees out of pocket and taxes
Some will not pay legal fees just taxes
Some will not pay legal fees and if high enough interest return will not pay a lot of taxes either.
O well

Re: HERE IS ANOTHER REAL EXAMPLE
Sorry DCHD, the settlement will not make everybody happy to the point of crying. To me what is truly important here is that the rong is now right. Some as myself are on the high spectrum and some are lower some are real low. Dennis is real low here to. I never had that money and truly never expected to see it. In my case at first (last week) thought I was only gettting the first 24 months back. That made me happy, now I've discovered this week that I will get all the retro back to nov 2001. And in the futur till 65. I am now very happy, but once again I never expected it, so I count my blessing and pray that many more will be in my situation. I agree whit your numbers and I do sympathise with you.

HERE IS ANOTHER REAL EXAMPLE
Yes if you go back over 5 or years but below 5 years The lawyers fees starting away for your total retro .
Example quick calc
i was owed without interest 25000.00
i was owed with interest 26790.00
but i get back 22013.00 after legal fess a lost of $4776.00
then taxes as well see just 27 months retro is a total of 9.9% interest i get back.
but i lose 7.93% interest because lawyers fees are 17.83
It's nice to go back many years and give an example Peter yes lots if interest over time. But what about start in 2007, 2008, 2009 or
2010 like myself where your firm gets $ 4776.00 of my original claw back. leaving me with a lose of 7.93% and yes after all interests and top up.
I lose out and so due many other so we don't get 100% plus like other due
What a poor example looks great on paper everyone see a higher return and more than legal would be but what a crappy example still BS in my mind
