Yes, in order to be deemed completely disabled by SISIP, they have to say that you are unable to hold any sort of job whatsoever, not just one you are trained for. If you lose both legs and an arm, they could say that you are still able to sit at a movie theatre and collect ticket stubs, and therefor employable. If you were released with PTSD, they have said in the past, that as long as it can be controlled with meds, they do not qualify as disabled because they can physically hold a job, even if it has to be menial with no stress, like flipping burgers at McD's. So it doesn't matter if you are getting CPP(D), PIA, EIA, 100% VAC pension, if you get an A-hole making the decision on your file, even those asking for reinstatement, they will not approve continued LTD.

If you were zero sum in those 2 years then you are able to request re- assessment.

Maybe I was not clear, In area 2 above I was talking about people who are non zero sum who did not get SISIP LTD beyond 2 years. You must have assumed I ment people getting LTD beyond the 2 years. Thsi fellow we are talking about is not on SISIP thus I assumed people would read my post knowing that.
So I disagree I am right on item 2 above, these people are left out of this class action.

Rags..........the first part of (2) above is wrong, they are already on long term disability and whatever there dva amount that was clawed back they will see as long as not over the 75% mark there were appox 320 people in this situation.
(these same people saw their sisip amount increase last june by the same amount)

Dazed, your right if:
(1) If your on CPPD and a Zero Sum guy you get to be reassessed and off you go all good. Should be no issues for you.
(2) If your on CPPD and Not Zero Sum which means some portion of your SISIP was paid to you be it 1 penny or 200 bucks. You are not getting any LTD by this class action!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont be mistaken read the agreement every part of the agreement for funds reads at start with "ZERO SUM" it is the pre qualifier for any entry into SISIP benefits beypound the automatic 2 years everyone got.
Furthermore
_ If you were non zero sum be it 1 penny or 200 bucks and walked away from SISIP you are not in this class action other then the first 2 years.
_ If you walked away from SISIP at anypoint and did not apply cause you knew you would be zero sum you are out of this class action totally!

Re: IMPORTANT info for those who should be on SISIP LTD but aren't.
My understanding from the aggreement is we are suppose to be treated the same as all other zero sum and given six months, if needed, to send med docs to sisip for their revue

just lost
I'm on cpp(d), sisip knows cause they made me apply. They have my total history until 2005 from 1996. MC has it too. Part of the settlement is if I am on ccp(d) is all I need to have the ltd payments to start. if the ones going to appeal the settlement don't screw up this long wait by wanting more and make myself and Peep wait even longer to recieve a monthly check, need all the info you suggested. I allready know that i am going to only see 22% of the total after lawyers and revenue canada take there share but its a start of ltd monthly payment is all i am waiting for. Where did you get your info from that we need all the docs just to recieve a check?

IMPORTANT info for those who should be on SISIP LTD but aren't.
The best is to get prepared in advance.
Have all your oncome tax reports since you are out of the CAF showing what you gained, ask access to information on all civilian medical records that could help, get a copy. Ask VA for copies of medical reports they have on you.
have your doctors fille this next doc as it is the important one to give your Doc.

https://www.cfpsa.com/en/AboutUs/SISIPFS/download/Documents/ML10E.pdf
rest of SISIP/MANULIFE docs are here:
https://www.cfpsa.com/en/aboutus/sisipfs/download/pages/default.aspx
Get your things in row, better be prepared and do it in advance.
If you are on CPP, and they made you see a specialist, you can ask the reports by their access to information.
Hope this helps,
All the best,
Teen, this should be a sticky!
