Well one of the leading Canadian heart specialist and spokes persom for heart and stroke foundation states that stress is not a contributor to heart problems and stroke but how we deal with the stress is. Thus PTSD is not a contributor but what we do about it is.

I drink to relax, I smoke to relax, I chase loose Ladies to relax and I do this all at the same time so I can get my 30 minutes of exercise a day just to stay fit.

Heart health is important to us all. Like the heart and stroke foundation says....'Let death wait.'
So though heart health is essential for all of us, it is clear that many veterans face a higher risk than some. So just be aware fellow veterans. And especially If you are someone with PTSD, make sure you do all that you can to maintain a healthy heart.
