Not in the least BTB,
Just add French's ketchup,
And have yourself a feast...

Re: MORNING THERAPY FOR VETERANS
I wish I could write poetry like RobbieRoyal but the last poem I wrote was in grade 5 and it went something like this.
I do not like vegetables.
I wish my mum would stop putting it on the dinner table.
She told me to eat all my vegetables to makes me big and strong.
And I should eat vegetables all day long
I hate potatoes the most.
It tastes really really gross
But I love potatoes's cousin Chip
Does that make me a hypocrite?

Hi Robbie.
About " The Well "
It reminded me of something.
Dying is easy, it's the living that's a son of a bee...
And I ain't even a fatalist

RobbieRoyal,
http://www.publishersglobal.com/directory/canada/
Here is a link to some of the Publisher's in Canada. Each publisher is aimed at a different audience and age group. So when you decide to take on this adventure make sure you send your manuscripts to the correct Publishing House. Next... when you are ready to prepare your manuscript package, decide which poems has the most impact and put those in the beginning of the manuscript. This way your best works get read first and it engages the editor from the start. Make sure your poems are typed, no fancy fonts and proofreading is important. You want to get your message across right away and not have the editor editing it in his or her mind. On each of your poems, make sure you write down at the bottom "Original Works by (Your name) and date it" and for your protection get someone you know to witness it. Write down "Witnessed by (sign and date) and place under your signature. It's a good idea to put your contact info on the front and back page of your manuscript because your cover letter may get misplaced. On your cover letter, include your contact info, tell them about yourself and why you write poetry...They are not only considering publishing your scribes but they are also investing in you as a person. It is important to start slow and not get overwhelmed. Send 5 manuscripts first, then a few more later on and so on and so on. This can be a long journey but worth it in the end. Unfortunately, once you decide to start getting published you must delete all your works from the internet sites. When you post your poems on sites, those poems are the temporary property of those site. Publisher's are only interested in works that have not been claimed or cited. So before you send your scribes off to the publishers...do some internet spring cleaning and remove the poems you want to be published. If I can find my publisher's list from when I did my internship, I will send it on to you. I would also recommend going to Chapter's and checking out the Poetry / Military novels and writing down the Publishers information. Some small Publishing Houses/Firms offer the best publishing deals and are sometime overlooked when consideration publishers. Hope this helps...

RobbieRoyal,
You probably get asked this question many times...Have you thought about sending your collection of poems to a publisher? Your work is truly beautiful and emotionally haunting. It strikes to the heart of a wounded and tortured soul. Thank you for sharing it with us.
