You see, this is where corruption takes hold, the people who are being watched over (SISIP), answers to the Government, and everything they do is with direction from the Government, if the oversight company notices any wrong doing, who do they report it to???.... You guessed it, the same government that likely ordered the rules be broken in the first place. So what are the chances that anything would be done. It's similar to having a town sheriff also be the town crime lord. Where no crimes happen with his approval and knowledge, and every crime that gets noticed is reported to him afterwards, but yet no arrests get made.

SISIP, even though a part of Manulife, is fully comprised of public sector employees, thus the MND's ability to hire and fire SISIP staff at will, as witnessed last year when he fired the head of SISIP. If SISIP through Manulife were purely a private insurance company simply under contract, when MacKay said "your fired!" last year, the reply would have been "go pound sand!".

Proudetele Peter did not have an answer about the May to October. I'm still trying to get some info on it.

Rex I understand where you get your suspicion but remember SISIP aka Manulife is a private insurance company. That said if Deloitte see's any hinky situations then they are obligated to report it to the GoC financial oversite department. This department levies fines against such activities.

But until SISIP/Manulife actually comes forward and explains "how" they are processing claims then one cannot help but think conspiracy.

Thanks teen, but unless I see well over 3000 files completed in August, (which is a minimum if they have a further 7800 files to prepare by mid Oct) everything SISIP and the GoC says at this point is just another smokescreen used to mask their real intentions. And as far as any conspiracy theories, there have been enough scandals involving the Tories over the last couple of years, that they flat out denied, only to find out later that the accusations were true. So even if SISIP is skipping certain groups or members, at the request of the GoC, they would never admit it, and it wouldn't be until afterwards, when it was too late, that any fears would be vindicated.

WoV you have done the right thing by telling Peter and Kristine. I know it's not what you want to hear but you are now on the record with the law firm.

I know during the negotiations, last May to February, beneficiaries from deceased vets was identified and noted. Peter told me this a few times so like everyone else it's a wait and see when SISIP gets around to your husband's file.
